The clients envisioned a home that would recall the fire lookout towers once prevalent in the area. The tower rises as the defining feature, while lower rooflines and a palette of stone and wood settle the surrounding wings into the mountainous landscape. To the rear, the home opens toward the mountains, orienting living spaces and outdoor gathering areas to take full advantage of the views.
